Spring Yellowbelly

We have been very busy over the last few weeks both locally and further away. The yellowbelly fired in Lake Mulwala for a short time at the start of the warm weather and still producing a few good fish now. The last couple of weekends I have been away with clients to Lake Eildon and Lake Eppalock where we found a few good yellowbelly. These lakes have been a little tough due to the rising water but we still managed fish. The spring yellowbelly bite is almost over however they will continue to bite well through summer. Subscribe to our Mailing list to get more photos and information on these trips

The months ahead

This is the time of year I have been waiting for and very excited for Murray cod season to open again. Lake Mulwala and the Murray river have had good flows all winter and into spring and should lead to a great season fishing in both. There is a lot of weed in the lake and should clear the water up but can make fishing around weed difficult. I think they may even want to drain the lake this coming winter so keep an eye out for that as the fishing can be incredible then. Make sure you get in touch to make a booking as dates are filling up fast
